Applications must be received by March 15, 2024 in order to be included in the April 17, 2024 lottery drawing. Applications received after that time will be processed based on availability.

  • We offer two prekindergarten programs in the City School District of Albany: 

    • Pre-K for 3-year-olds (pre-K 3)
    • Pre-K for 4-year-olds (pre-K 4)

    This application is for the 4-year-old lottery only.
    A child must be 4 by Dec. 1 of the following school year to qualify for a pre-K 4 program.

    The 3-year-old lottery will be held at a later date.
    Applications submitted for the 3-year-old program at this time will be disregarded    .

    *If multiple submissions are received for the same student, THE LAST SUBMISSION will be identified as final and official for purposes of the lottery process.

Upon acceptance into a magnet/pre-K program, I, as parent or guardian, agree to attend any meetings or orientations that may be required by the school.
